Academic Commercialization Advancement Comments

Many Universities to propel their academic research programs faster will partner with government agencies and private enterprise and this makes sense because it is a great source of monies to help propel the university and the businesses and government to get brilliant minds who basically work for free as slave labor.
It is your typical bull crap human exploitation tactic and it is purely sickening except that the individual student does get kudos, a degree and a much better chance at a future career with a very high paycheck. So in the end the apprentice does also receive some of this so-called win/win scenario and thus it works well and the ball moves forward propelling shareholders equity and quarterly profits, research and development and the University's goal to be bleeding edge in the sciences.
This helps attract new students and the best and brightest to the University in subsequent following semesters. Everyone wins in the end and the students are the intellectual engine powering up the academic commercialization machine advancing industry, government and the future of mankind. Many people have a problem in all of this and want to keep the Universities pure so to speak.
Yet, if we consider this in its entirety it seems to work well and it also teaches the students a little about the reality of the real world and capitalism and how those drivers run our nation and the world. Consider this in 2006.
